Richard + Hamilton

Richard Hamilton, considered the "Father of Pop Art" died today at age 89.  The British painter and printmaker focused largely on consumer culture and parodies of political leaders. You might recognize his piece, "Just What Is It That Makes Today's Homes So Different, So Appealing" (1956). It is said to be the first example of Pop Art.

You will definitely, however, recognize Hamilton as the designer of The Beatles "White Album" cover (1968).

R.I.P Richard Hamilton.
