Lip + Service

Violent Lips create temporary lip tattoos that last for up to 8 hours.

I'd be intrigued to see someone actually wearing one of these...

They also come in an array of different designs. this ones kinda awesome.

Charles + Olive

UK-based Charles Olive produces bow ties that are fabulously bold in both print and pattern. Such an unexpected pop of color in a much under-used and under-appreciated area of menswear.

How dapper are they paired with a beard? Their stylist seemed to think so as well.

I always require my dates to wear bow ties. Preferably gold ones.

(P.S.This is a picture of my friend Richard and I. Its his birthday today! woo!)

Spotted on Wolf Eyebrows.

Moon + Pops

How stunning are these Lunar Lollipops?

Block + Shop

Stumbled upon Block Shop and instantly fell in love with not only their beautiful block prints but also the fascinating process behind the textiles. Then I saw that, because they are such a hot topic at the moment, everything is sold out. womp womp.

But aren't these scarves exquisite?

The + Napsack

So what exactly was Hannah wearing in last night's episode of GIRLS?
They just kinda glossed over the whole bizarre phenomenon with not so much as a dry remark, leaving audiences worldwide confused and upset.

According to their website, "It’s not too hot for inside and is awesome for wearing around the house in the winter."

Yes well it would appear that Hannah would seem to think so as well.
Could this be the next snuggie? Wildly more functional and utilitarian, it's waterproof feature might even convince people to leave the house.

ha ha

and good news, it even comes in hipster child sizes:

Also guess where this company is based. go figure.

Go + Slow

Familiar with Haim yet?

Odds are, you will be soon. This trio of sisters from LA is fast on the rise, and for good reason.

Their smooth beats and laid-back cool are incredibly seductive. I listened to them on every train, plane and bus ride obsessbvely while backpacking the UK last summer. Thats a lot of playing time.

Three of my faves:

Don't Save Me (newest release)

Forever (my first love)

Feather + Cuff

Just fell in love with this ear cuff I stumbled upon from Run With The Tribe.

How fierce would this look on?
answer: very.

Perhaps one of my all-time favorite pieces of clothing, regardless of how incredibly impractical they are, is the cape.

And Leslie Tessler appears to be quite the expert on them. Based out of NYC and Buenos Aires, they combine luscious fabrics with a high level of craftsmanship. Call me a fan.

and LOOK:
you can choose your own buttons! How precious.

Here are some of my faves:

I'm starting a revolution to make the cape more commonplace. Whose with me?

Cuba + 2012

Hope you all had a fabulous holiday and a happy new years!

My mother surprised my father, my sisters and I with a trip to Cuba on Christmas day! We did a People to People tour (aka not illegal..) with a focus on (delicious) food.
The music, the people, everything about the culture was vivacious and colorful and I can't wait to go back.

We were only there for about 4 days but I made a short video of our adventure.
Check it out for a little taste of Cuba!

Here's to 2013! May it bring on many more enriching experiences and unforgettable trips.
