The first thing on my back-to-school wishlist? An old-school turntable.
I've always admired the old, obsolete record covers found in thrift stores at next to nothing prices. Those mixed in with a few new releases here and there would make for an ideal collection, don't you think? You just can't beat the sound quality and tactile experience.
Slap on an old Sinatra record and bam you've got yourself the ultimate glass-of-wine-in-hand-kind-of-night soundtrack.
Below are the first 5 albums I would want to buy, all available at urban.
The Jensen Wood Turntable, $88
Fleetwood Mac, Rumours LP, $28.98
Florence & The Machine, Ceremonials LP, $20.98
Lana Del Rey, Born To Die LP, $22.98
The XX, XX LP $18.98
The National, High Violet LP, $26.98
It's tough when you already own these albums in MP3 though...
But the albums would double as wall art. Voila! It can be vaguely economic. so THERE.
