Nick + Cave
AHH> obsessed with this artist and needed to share. Nick Cave creates these pieces he calls "soundsuits" which can either be presented on a mannequin or worn by dancers to fully demonstrate the pieces' capabilities in motion.
This show was titled Ever-After and was at the Jack Shainman Gallery in New York. Sadly, the show JUST ended Oct. 8th.
Maybe next time...
This one is definitely my favorite. What a great coat this would make..
Possible Halloween costumes? I think yes.

Black + Wedding
So Vera Wang's Fall 2012 bridal line is rocking the wedding world-- thoughts? Personally, I respect such a brave move and appreciate the pushing of boundaries etc. etc., but I just don't see people actually going for such a drastically nontraditional color. That is, unless Twilight has had more of an impact on our upcoming generation of brides than I thought.
Call me conventional, but I'm planning on kicking it Billy Idol-style.

Zadig + Voltaire
So apparently elbow patches are super "in" right now... which is annoying because I've wanted a great patched blazer for a long time but now it's no longer as special... but griping and grumbling aside, I welcome you to gawk at these fabulous cashmere sweaters with metallic elbow patches by Zadig and Voltaire. So glitzy and luxe.
PS. this would also be a great DIY project for the artsy and ambitious.
P.S.S also found this gem on their website. iwantiwantiwant.

Day + Sequins
What do we think about wearing sequins in the sunlight? My fashion design professor claims that so much light reflecting off sequins is a danger to society. I say pish posh. So tomorrow I am fully intending on wearing sequins. In.broad.daylight. The bigger reason is that I have more sequins than I know what to do with, and saving them all for night time events just isn't fair to them.
Curious yourself? I say go for it. In the wise words of of Glitterature, we could all use a little sparkle in our day.

Closet + Visit
Just stumbled across this fabulous website/concept called "Closet Visit". Artist Jeana Sohn finds stylish and creative women and adventures into their wardrobes, making for enviable, enticing and addicting art. She recently started collaborating Claire Cotrell to turn the idea into short videos. They've only done two so far but they both have very distinctive styles. You can't help but be inspired!
P.S. Loving the headdresses they both possess!

Bah make sure you look at all the regular featured women at the bottom of the website- some people just have it going on.

Out + Dated
I was exploring Black Milk's website to its inner depths and found their list of "Gone But Not Forgotten." So sadly these ones are no longer available, but I still wanted to share their awesomeness. I love the ones that reference art history.
